It is also one of the leading cities in the application of smart technology, with a series of utility applications to improve the quality of life. Let’s explore the must-have apps in Ho Chi Minh City.

1. Now Food Delivery – an App to book delicious meals

Now Food is an app to order food online. Now Food will suggest you a list of dishes and drinks based on trend and location, helping you save time thinking. As the first food ordering and delivery application launched in Vietnam, Now Food provides services in 16 provinces of Vietnam, the most popular being Ho Chi Minh City, with more than 50,000 food delivery locations on Now Food.

Now Food offers many new promotions that are updated every day, such as free food delivery within a radius of 3km, promotions for new users, or promotional codes by collections every day.

2. TTGT TP Ho Chi Minh – an App to help avoid traffic jams

TTGT TP Ho Chi Minh (Traffic Information Ho Chi Minh City) is an app that lets the community instantly share traffic information through traffic participants around Ho Chi Minh City. The app was developed by the HCMC Department of Transportation and is provided free of charge.

You can easily track traffic jams in Ho Chi Minh City with images provided 24/24 from traffic cameras, which are constantly updated in intervals of 15 to 20 seconds. You can receive instant rush hour information according to the location and context of each person. In addition, the app also helps users avoid construction sites and find toilets, hospitals, and gas stations.

3. The Ho Chi Minh City Urban Planning Information App

In 2018, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Architecture introduced the “Ho Chi Minh City Planning Information” app to provide planning information. People can easily look up housing-related information remotely through mobile and web platforms.

The app provides a complete map of land-use planning at the scale of 1:2,000 in paper form, with stamps of approval in 24 districts.

4. Ohana – an App to look for rental accommodations

Finding a place to rent is one of the most popular needs for pupils, college students, or even workers. Ohana is a free rental accommodation search app for tenants. Its primary market is in Ho Chi Minh City.

At Shark Tank Vietnam season 2, Ohana raised 3.5 billion VND in capitals in exchange for 10% of its shares. Ohana also plans to expand its presence to Hanoi, desiring to reach even further into the markets of other countries in the region, specifically Singapore.
